Network connections missing from system tray

Today i got a BSOD so i did an advanced recovery method
now my network icon (those little 5 bars) in the system tray is gone
I went to my network & sharing center and it said "The dependency service or group failed to start" i cannot connect to the internet.

Two things you can try that are easy to do.

    1. Open up a command prompt with admin privileges. To do this, click on the Windows orb, type cmd, and when cmd.exe is listed in the programs, right click on it and select "run as administrator". In the command window, type "netsh winsock reset" (without the quotes). Ignore all errors and then restart the computer.

    If that doesn't work:

    2. Open a command prompt with admin privileges, then type "SFC /scannow" (without the quotes). Let it run and see if it finds and fixes any system file errors.
