Sorry for the confusion.
If your printer has a cdrom that came with it. You can connect the printer to your company network and if your company uses dhcp, then when you run the program on the cdrom, it will ask you how it is attached. respond that it is network wired, If it has a wired network cable. The program should find it by it's network interface card address and then allow you to set the access to it. It should be fine.
Give it a shot, You might have to download a newer copy of the installation software from the manufacturer.
If it has USB capability, Always run the software install first and then when it tells you, plug in the usb cable to your computer. If you already have the software on your computer, it works better to uninstall it first.
