Windows 7: problem with Win 7 64bit wi-fi tray icon

problem with Win 7 64bit wi-fi tray icon

My tray icon says I'm disconnected on my laptop but I have full conectavaty to the internet and my network as well as local ethernet i did
uninstall the MS ver. wireless adapter and it is still not working right it's just a icon but it's driveing me nutz here's a screan shot .

any ideas?

Sorry you are having problems and welcome to the forum!

Are you running any other sw, such as Linksys, Netgear, Belkin, etc. Software that came with your wireless adapter?

What wireless adapter are you using? Built in Toshiba, or?
