Exactly what regedit did you apply?

    2) Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
    3) Add a new value DWORD ( 32 Bit or 64 Bit, depends on OS version), name itLocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy and give value 1. Restart the machine and check the share now. It must work.

I was only offered a Qword in 64 bit value not a Dword I have a HEX value of 1. Should the value be Decimal?

I can go to admin shares merely by using the $ symbol, as in "\\myshare\c$". Does this not work for you?

\\MyShare\c$ would not work. It would be \\ComputerName\c$.

"myshare" was just a placeholder. It would be pretty silly (and impossible) to try to access the c drive from a share.

The default admin (c$) shares were disabled from Vista onwards for security reasons, If you need to share at the root level you should manually add a share with a unique name, (eg, "Cdrive"). These can then be accessed normally
