The wireless connection to your router is very high. Wireless isn't great for playing games anyway.

If you go on your router there is normally a diagnostics page which will say trace route or something simular. It is probably just your wireless connection though. Connect to the router via a wire and see if the problem persists (do another tracert whilst on WoW and compare).

There can be a number of problems with Wireless. For example if there are other wireless networks in the same area it can cause probles.
Install and run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector.
Double click the Xirrus Icon on your Desktop, Tap the Printscreen key on your keyboard, open up Paint then choose Edit from the Menu and select Paste, then SAVE it. Upload and attached it here.

Your wireless signal isnt very good but it doesnt show any other Wireless networks in range so thats good.

Can you give us the model number of your wireless access point? Changing the Wireless Network to a 802.11N would probably get you a better signal quality but your access point/router may not be able to do it.

Did you try connecting with a wire?

Telstra 2Wire 2701HGV-W
Not sure how to change it to N.
And right now I can't, I'd have to move a lot of furniture to do that.

Log onto the router via its web interface (http://10.0.0.138). In there it will have wireless settings. it should say something about the wireless modes.

Sorry I cant be very specific. I can't seem to find a manual for it.

Ahh ok, try chaning it to 802.b/g. At the moment you are using 802.11b. I believe 802.11g is better.

After doing this do another Wifi inspector test and see if the signal is any better.

It is not going to make a difference. a 2mbps connection is SLOW. Very slow esp., for gaming. Even with a poor signal the wireless connection is much faster then your internet connection.

What was the connection speed of your previous living space? If it was faster then what you have now that can account for the issues.

Your correct it is quite slow. Whats making it really slow though is the nearly 1second it takes for a ping request to be answered by the router.... Increasing this time will decrease the lag, even if its only slightly

Well Australian internet is by far the worst in the world. My internet connection is average. The thing is though, I never had this problem in the last house, and when we moved here they had to fix the phone connection. Something was wrong with it, but I'm not sure what it was. Maybe I should ring the ISP tomorrow morning?
