Compatability issue with Windows 7 and my modem?
I bought a Dell D630 laptop with Windows 7 32 bit installed from ebay. Router is a Linksys E2000 which seems to be working fine. Modem is a Motorola Surfboard SB5101. Is this modem compatible with Windows 7? My other laptop and desktop running Windows XP and Windows Vista work fine but I can't connect to the internet with the newer laptop through the wireless network or an ethernet cable. It says I am connected and have internet access but nothing. Whenever I attempt to access any website IE says connecting to 192.168.2.1 in the status bar and just times out. Is this just a modem compatibility issue or am I missing something else?
