Don't ask. It can get you banned.

Just google for it, if you must

This is a issue thread, not a "new newbie comes in and start crap for 2nd straight day on my thread" thread. Moving on, I checked my power scheme and my wifi adapter is set to max performance.

I really hope this issue can be resolved soon, I'm tired of disabling and renabling my adapter after Sleep/Hibernation since I'm on AIM a lot of can't miss important conversations if I'm away for awhile and even my Sleep/Hibernation settings are disabled, and my laptop still goes to Sleep and/or Hibernates sometimes out of nowhere.

I have a similar problem and I'm also using the Atheros WiFi adapter. I have the same symptoms you described after coming out of sleep mode except mines does recover if I do a hard reboot. Diabling/re-enabling doesn't help. I've tried several drivers and also unchecked the "allow windows to shutdown to conserve power" (or however it's worded). So far no help. Kinda defeats the purpose of sleep mode.

Interesting, my adapter is Atheros AR5007.
