Acer Windows 7 Wifi Conflicting Issue between itself and phone!

Hello everyone! I'm new here and I'd really be most grateful to get a solution to my issue. Ok
I have a Acer Aspire 5250 with Windows 7 Ultimate. It has been running just fine for a while now but after about 16 hours ago, Ive been having issues connecting to the internet. Everything was fine until I turned on my laptop yesterday and I had to input my WEP key again for my home network. During this time It said "unidentified network", "limited access" or none at all. Then after a bit It said I had connected to my home network, with access but there was none!

Now here is where it gets weird. I have a iPhone that has had no problems but now whenever theyre on simultaneously, my laptop sort of kicks my iPhone off of the network.
Now my ps3, 360 and psp work just fine but it seems after each reboot of my laptop, my iphone wifi tells me that I have the incorrect password. When my laptop is off, its fine and It just reconnects to wifi on its own.

But honestly here my biggest issue is with my laptop. I dont know what to do, Im not a computer wiz and I need help. I have installed all of the latest windows updates on it, so im not sure if thats the issue. Is it that my iphone and laptop are fighting over the same ip address or what? I did a Windows Network Diagnostic and a box appears that says there are 2 problems.

1.The default gateway is not available <Not fixed>
    2. The connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the internet is broken <yellow caution triangle>

I have classwork to do online and during mid-terms this couldn't have came at a more worse time!!! Any help is appreciated and I hope you guys give warm welcomes to the new guy!! Thanks a bunch!!!! I'll be alert and online for most of the day so expect a quick response if you have any questions for me!

First off your post was very well explained. But, there could be many problems that are related to the symptoms your network is having. Here is a few issues that might be going on:
    1. It's not your computer its your router
    2. It is your computer and not your router
    3. Your computer's wifi decided to stop working
    4. Your routers wifi decided to stop working

Have you made any changes to your router and or configuration around the time that you started having this problem?
Have you had a power surge?

I too have had this problem before and have not been able to solve it. If you can answer the two questions above I may be able to narrow the solution down for you!

Ok, thanks bro! Well My wifi is working fine. Just finished a few games of Black Ops and Halo Reach on PS3 and 360, so no issue there. I also reset my wifi about 3 times just to make sure.

There have been no power surges.

Also I have a desktop which has a wired connection, which is where im typing. Working fine. So I dont think its the router

Hey, I started seeing a very similar problem a week ago on my Aspire 5250 with an Atheros card. ONe day connection was okay (if painfully slow), next there was a connection to the network (which was now identified as an unidentified network), but no internet connection. This has variations such as "limited connectivity", but amounts to the same thing - WEP key is accepted, and network connects, but no internet connection. Error messages are as above - default gateway not fixed, and not available. Ipod touch, another Aspire, and desktop all connect fine. My wrinkle is that this also affects the ethernet connection. Wired connection comes up with the same issue of unknown network, and no internet.
Anyone come up with possible fixes to try? Cheers!
