RJ-45 Cable Signal Problems Til I Reboot?

I thought the rj-45 cable was bad so I tried another but same problem. When I plug in in to my WildBlue modem and Lan input on my pc I get the yellow triangle with a black exclamation mark in the triangle which is in the system tray. If I totally unplug either end of the cable I get the usual red x in the box like normal. I've got the latest Lan drivers for the board what's strange is usually, if I restart the system the problem goes away? A couple times I had the yellow triangle with the black exclamation mark but, it was indeed connected to the net but not always. Any ideas on what to check would sure be appreciated from all of you! Thanks :) I'm running Win 7 Home premium

    Hello,

If you hover over the exclamation mark does it say limited connection?

If so, it sounds like your PC isnt obtaining an IP Address the first time. When the yellow exclamation mark is shown, Click start and then run, type in 'cmd'. In the black box type 'ipconfig /all' and paste us the results. Do the same when connected properly.

You are getting an IP Address from your provider.

Is it a WildBlue Satilite Modem?

Do you have admin access to the modem via the web interface or is it managed by your ISP? (Sorry, I dont know how WildBlue manage their Satilite customers).
