Windows 7: "LAN doesn't have valid IP config" Trying to play C&C Zero Hour

I fiddled around and got everything to work. After disconnecting the ethernet cable I was never able to get things going again. I am able to connect the computers if I make up my own ip addresses in ipv4 but they can't see eachother in the game. I have disabled ipv6. Wireless internet works on both computers. They each run windows 7 64bit. When things all worked out the troubleshooter was able to just set things up for me, now both trouble shooters say "LAN doesn't have valid IP config". I have reset winsock and ipv4 in the command window, ipconfig/release ipconfig/renew ipconfig/all, no difference. I am running Norton 360, turning it off had no effect. They are on the same homegroup. The LAN says unidentified network and it is stuck on public. I have allowed all file sharing for public and private connections. I also tried stopping Bonjuor, no effect. I am a beginner at this so I'll need 8 year old responses, maybe 5 year old. Thanks for any help. This is my ipconfig screen.
