Simultaneous updating of edited documents on two PC's in Homegroup

When you have identical/copied documents/folders on two PC’s, Is it possible to set up the Homegroup system, so that any document edited on either a Windows 7 x64 Desktop or a Vista x 32 Laptop, simultaneously update the other document when sharing on Homegroup?

Use a thrid party software to do it. SyncBack works well for this, you can set the program to update both locations:
How to backup data - backup software free download. SyncBackPro, SyncBackSE, SyncBack Freeware and more

    Hi Dave,

Thank you for your suggestions. Have you used any of the Software you suggest?

So I assume it can't be done with any Windows or Microsoft software?

    Thanks

The reference sparked my interest, so I went to their site and read about the three different versions of SyncBack -- and if I understand what you want to do, you want changes made in one copy to TRIGGER the same changes to the other copy, right? From what I read, this requires the OnChange feature -- which they say is not available in the Freeware version.

I would install it onto both PC and then copy accross the changed files to either PC. This should be ok and could run every 15mins or so.
