[SOLVED]No Internet Connection/No Network Connection
I've been getting internet connection on and off all day today, thinking it was just Comcast. But every time I went to look at the modem, it was still functioning fine, and the router's local status site told me it was working fine.
Well, now it's not working. I tried restoring back to an old restore point, and that didn't help. I tried disabling some of the services I thought would interefere, and that didn't help. I tried setting a manual IP, but it just crashes. I thought it could be the CAT.5 cable, so I plugged it into the laptop (which I'm using now), but it still works.
I have no idea what's wrong, and I'm getting seriously fustrated.
Using Windows 7 4700 RTM Ultimate.
EDIT: I figured it out. I installed HostsMan last night, and it disabled the DNS client, because it has to forward all its connections through hosts. Well, Windows, for some damn reason, found it necessary to manually start the DNS client every time I started Windows.
