Keeps disconnecting while gaming online after few minutes.

I am having this problem while gaming online, i get disconnected from game after aprox 10minutes . Tried Both using MSI RG60SE wireless and Speed-touch modem. Firmwares updated, protocol v6 unchecked everything works fine while chatting browsing etc. When i log on BF3 after 10mins or so it disconnects. Always same time. The interesting part is even on my ps3 i play fifa and it always disconnects me from it after i finish off playing first match (ps3 is wireless connected with MSI router). Always same timing. Everything disconnects and it re-connects automatically.

I called providers everything fine from their side.
Only thing i am concerned is I have the cat wire cable very long 25metres or so which is useless because i moved modem near pc and kept same long cable. But than why ps3 disconnects also (wireless) after 10mins? Wireless both on ps3 and pc are full signal. I am using wi-fi internet on my BB and i never disconnects i am always online.

No idea .. any help guys please? Thank you

    Hello,

Thanks for creating your own Thread.

Do you have a Static IP setup for your PS3?
Setting a static IP address on the Playstation 3 - PortForward.com

You will need to do port-forwarding of your games as well.
Ports listed by application. - PortForward.com

Some heavy gamers do enable DMZ from the router so there's no need do open up ports, but it is also not safe.

Thank you 2xg! Never knew this, good to know. I know this sounds kind off stupid but i logged in msi router ip and im in forwarding. I entered the range + TCP option and there is IP address, which ip address I put? and common service port DNS FTP etc?

That will be the IP Address of your computer, make sure to change your DHCP to Static IP.

Also, this might help. It's for a Linksys router, but it will give you an idea how to port forward all ports needed for your games.

I will not format the PC yet, that will be the last thing to do.

Is it just freezing when you're doing any online activities? How's your computer's performance in general?
How's your wired connection to the Router? How about direct connection to the Modem?
Any other computers in your home network that's having a similar issue as yours? We need to find out which one is at fault, perhaps not your computer.

Yes it froze when i browse emails etc. My computer is super fine. It's very fast even loading in games and installing stuff+ browsing etc everything is fast even internet ping is very low and good. No spikes nothing. Just this 10minute routine which i noticed in gaming as the games shut down when disconnected.

I tried direct with Modem and still does the same. There is no settings in modem such as port forwarding right? So this means router is 100% fine. The modem is the "?"

Only my computer is wired the others (which are 3 laptops are all wireless)

Yes all laptops/ps3/computer will shut game down after 10 or so minutes.

I think something with the modem? or some setting such as subnet musk ip addres dns?

You may contact your ISP, they might be of helped, they'll inform you if it's a Modem issue.

    Hello again 2xg,

I rebooted several times the router, formated pc, modem reset, i tried so much with the DMZ,port-forwarding, DHCP Settings, updated firmwares , bullshiting with firewalls, security settings and so on. Re-installed games, phoned several times the ISP 100% checked technician came he said everything fine no idea about this problem.

I have surfed for hours on tens of forums alot of people having this problem but all topics unsolved. If you ever find the answer would be very kind to know or anyone..

    Spent gaming rig for shit
For the meanwhile ill stay facebooking = lol

    cheers
