[QUOTE=DustSailor;1664595]1,

I appologize if this has already been done, but did you try sfc scannow? SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Ok when I tried this, it got to 79% and then it would quit. I tried it about 10 times to make sure that nothing changed, but it always stopped at 79% :/ FML

ok now I think I know what the problem is. When I disconnect from my network (gage), at the top it just says identifying... with no network after that. I've seen this before and it's called a "ghost network". If you know of any way to get rid of it, you'll get +rep

thnx!

Lol your rep is probably worth 5-10 points. I'm not sure anyone is that crazy about getting it, otherwise anyone with any rank would be getting all kinds of responses to any inquiries he might have had ;-)

BUT, here are some links in addition to Rich's posts (Ztruker)that may help: WRT160N problem. Ghost networks. - Cisco Home Community and How can I remove old network connections How-To Geek Forums

Yes, because I genuinely would like to help you out

That didn't do anything. Is there a utility that can fix Windows 7 from Ubuntu? or how about Android?

Someone else seems to be having a very similar problem (at least in dealing with networks). Are you dualbooting Ubuntu like he is? I don't have any wifi networks visible/available

Yes I am dualbooting (actually quad-booting) but that isn't exactly like my problem. It's a windows 7 problem. I KNOW. I just hope that it's a minor problem that can be fixed quickly :l
