    wifi is down D:

Hey guys! I just removed a trojan using MalwareBytes and apparently my WiFi was somehow disabled. I tried disabling the wifi port thru Network Preferences in Control Panel but had the same results I also tried everything here: Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy - Microsoft Answers
but nothing worked D: Please tell me a way that I can fix this :P

**EDIT** this is the wifi port thingy: Atheros AR5B95 Wireless Network Adapter

    Thanks in Advance!

The first thing I would try is to uninstall your network card (Atheros) via Device Manager. Then do a restart. Windows will re-detect the NIC and reload the drivers. This often fixes these kinds of problems.

Press Windows key (next to Ctrl key at lower left of keyboard) and the R key to open the Run box.
Type devmgmt.msc (or copy and paste) and press the Enter key.
Scroll down to Network Adapters and expand it.
Right click on your NIC and select Uninstall.
    Click OK.

Restart the computer and see what happens.

If that doesn't fix it, run System File Checker. Follow the same steps as above but type sfc /scannow and press Enter. Wait for it to complete. See if it finds any system files that are missing or damaged.

Why are you running ComboFix? Who asked you to do this? What do you hope to accomplish by doing so?

I was thinking MAYBE it might help me fix the problem... And maybe there's some malware that my detectors didn't pick up. A guy from another forums suggested this.

BTW: If all else fails, ill run the repair disk and see if that does anything!

Can you provide a link to your thread in the other forum? No point is duplicating what's already been done.

If you think you may still have some malware on your computer, go to the Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal forum, read the first post and follow instructions.

Come back here once you get a clean bill of health if you still have problems.

    Ok, thanks for the link.

Click on Start then Run and paste the following into the Run box, exactly as shown, including double quotes:

    cmd /c "ipconfig /all > postme.txt & ping yahoo.com >> postme.txt & notepad postme.txt & del postme.txt"

    and press ENTER.

A file will open in Notepad. Please copy and paste the contents here. Close the Notepad window and the file will be deleted and the Command Prompt window will also close.

If you don't have a Run selection off the Start menu, see here: Enable Run Command on Windows 7 or Vista Start Menu
