Wifi connected, internet wont. But only in one room, one laptop

    Hi there!

So I have begun to encounter this super weird problem since the past two days.

I have a wireless router that I use to connect three devices to the internet. Two laptops and a phone. I've had the same internet connection for the past 1.5 years and everything has worked just fine.

Off lately, my laptop won't connect to the internet only in my room. Everywhere else, it works just fine. But the minute I enter my room, the connection changes to 'Unidentified network' or 'No internet access'. I tried bringing the other laptop in my room and that works perfectly.
What could be the reason for this?

I have been scouring forums on the internet, but couldn't find any resolution.
I tried re-installing my wireless drivers but that didn't help. Tried troubleshooting and the problem couldn't be fixed.

    Please help!

RP so I have it right you connect the phone to the router?? Out here the incoming line goes to a splitter then two lines come out one to the phone and one to the modem / router.

My other thought is that the router is going south - does it have aerials??

PS Reseat all cables - take them right out and replug.

    Hi IC

I have a wireless router, so no, no lines come out. There's a common wifi that all the devices access. For some reason, though my laptop can connect to the wifi, it shows 'Unidentified network' or 'No internet access' in my laptop, in my room only. When I walk with my laptop to the other rooms, it starts to detect internet too.

    What do I do?
