Group Policy blocking .exe from running from a CD. Help!

I am using a laptop an when ever I attempt to use .exe from a CD I get a message telling me that I am blocked from using this program because of group policy. How do I disable this Group Policy? Please Help!

    Hello,

Really this is something you should talk to your IT Department about. There will be a reason for why they are blocking the program. It maybe malicious.

    Hi,
When I asked by IT Department about this they simply said to "be creative". This policy blocks any program that runs of a CD, installer or general program.
This is also my personal laptop that I connect to their network and then bring home each night.

Ahh ok, rename the exe to something more common like word.exe.

    Hello,

I don't think that this is appropriate. I am also a Network Admin and all personal computers even smart phones are not allowed to be connected to our network.
This is also my personal laptop that I connect to their network and then bring home each night.
Strange response from your IT Dept.

I don't think that we can help you with your request or bypassing network policies.

I was challenged by the people in the IT department,
The policy blocks all .exe files running off or a CD

    Thank you,
After talking to my school's IT department today they said thate even if I found a way to do this I would lose all network privileges.
Regarding the previous post, not all cd installers work like that.

Actually they pretty much do. An installer doesn't care if its on a CD of Hard Drive just as long as it can find all files.
