Remote Desktop can't connect to Winows 7 Home Premium

I'm afraid I might already know the answer - is it true the only Professional and Ultimate versions of Windows 7 can accept Remote Desktop Connection requests? I read on a post from 2009 that "any version of Windows 7 can act as a Remote Desktop client, but only Ultimate and Profession can host a Remote Desktop."

I'm not sure I completely understand that - I do understand what host and client mean.

However,d despite lots of different setting changes, I can't connect to this Windows machine using Remote Desktop.

In my job at IBM, I connect to hundreds of computers daily using Remote Desktop, easily. That's why the OS version issue seems like a strong, but frustrating, possibility.

    Thanks

The host in remote situations is the person taking control.
The client is the one being assisted.
