"show characters" to rediscover my wireless password -is it in XP too?

I need to rediscover a network ASCII key on my computer.
In Windows 7 , you can go into the wireless settings and simply click a box that says "show characters". Then you can see the key in ascii format.

But I am on a WinXP laptop right now. Is there a similar feature in Win XP ?

Hello,

It is almost the exact same in Windows XP. There should be an option for show charactors.

If not, there are many free programs on the internet that can extract the password.

thanks.... I used a wireless key extracter downloaded from the internet.
It gave me the key in hex, a big long string, but NOT the ASCII string you type in.
However, I entered the hex string when it asked for the password to connect and it actually worked. (On a Windows 7 computer I think you an do that).
Program was called WirelessKeyView

Thanks. You know, the thing I miss the most about being in the USA is the total unavailability of Greggs pasties.
