Windows 7 RTM 64bit poor web performance

I have a freshly installed Windows 7 64bit RTM (downloaded from technet), no other software installed. I connect to a wifi-n network (Fritz!Box 7270) via a Intel 4965AGN networkcard. Now the network speed is great (3MB/s and up), even better than when I use this connection via my Windows Vista 64bit on the same hardware.

But when I start Internet Explorer (32bit or 64bit) all webpages load extremely slow or not at all. Again on the Windows Vista installation (jammed with all sorts of software) all webpages load almost instantainiously but on Windows 7 some are slow taking atleast 30~60seconds to load, others do not load at all.

The odd thing is that when I connect to my Wifi-g network which is wired via the Fritz!Box 7270 to the internet all webpages load quickly, almost instantainiously.
I tried to use a number of older Intel 4965agn drivers, and the latest available for Vista 64bit but with no succes... all had the same result, great network performance but very poor webpage performance.

Also I ruled out the possibility that it could be IE.... I downloaded Firefox which had the same problem.

As an experiment I stopped all services that I beleive could interfere with loading webpages (e.g. Windows Firewall) without succes.
I must be missing something here and could use some help with this.

Oke, have a bit more info... configured the FritzBox to wifi-g (54Mbps) and the same issue came up.
Windows 7 appears to not play nice with the Fritzbox 7270. I mailed the guys at avm (vendor of Fritzbox) and am awaiting an answer.

Will let you know if I get it to work.

File download speed is rather good.... (around 2Mbyte/s) if not downloading via http.
When downloading through http (like pictures from websites) downloadspeeds are down to 4~10kbytes/s

    Have some new info:
Installed Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit SP2 slipstreamed, and has the same problem. This is weird. Vista 64bit with SP1 slipstreamed (later updated to SP2) has no networking issues at all.

    I'm puzzled here...

Just had confirmation from AVM that the wireless chipset in the Fritzbox 7270 has been giving connection/throughput/web problems when connecting the, single most popular Draft-n wifi networkcard in the world, Intel 4965AGN.
Still it doesn't explain why Vista worked fine.

They suggested to upgrade the Intel driver... unfortunatly this doesn't solve my problem. I'm thinking of giving up and buy a Sitecom gaming router (WL-308) to replace the Fritzbox.
