    Network share database problem

I have a share database by two win7 pcs (server is home premium ,client is w7 basic)
My problem : when i want to access program database from client it takes more than 2 min.
How can i fix it because if pcs are XP there is no slow access time
    Thank you.

You could try mapping the folder on the server as a network drive on the client, then accessing it on the client via the mapped drive.

    Hello,

what do you have the two PC's plugged into? Is internet access slow?

If you are going to map a drive as suggested by Sub Styler then assign a static IP address to the Server PC and use the IP address (Not the name) to map the drive. This should provide quicker access as it wont have to resovle a PC name when first connecting.

Also, check your anti-virus to see if it is using real time protection to scan network locations. Disable this to see if it is causing your PC to run slower.
