Download Revouninstaller Pro Trial, and try removing it with that:

Cannot remove them? Try Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems. It is an uninstaller program. You can find the free version at the bottom of that list, rather than using the free trial. Be careful not to delete things you shouldn't, perhaps use its safe mode (Not your computer's safemode, but the application's). Let me know how it goes. Did you check windows update for drivers? Can't understand what is up with your connectivity.

Nothing really wrong with them. Java is rarely used, and if needed, a prompt will follow to install it. This is why I recommend not having it: Java Continues to be Hackers' Darling
Also, who needs VLC when you have windows media center and player? If you use it, don't uninstall it. That goes for all suggestions and opinions

Hi awgeez, welcome to 7f , and a hi to you to DustSailor!

In all this time no mention has been made of what adapter, and ISP router you are working with awgeez.

For the adapter I surmise from your attached pixs in post #14 you are running Dell's DW WLAN Card by the listing of the DW WLAN Card utility.
As for the ISP router I have no idea. could you please find out, and post?
We will need to know your provider name, and the make/model number of their router.

What I am getting at here is to check the advanced settings of both. For the adapter it has to do with a form of Receive Side Scaling Specifically the offloads, and flow control, they should be both Rx and Tx enabled, but that is on my Intel adapter.
See here for the DW Card Advanced Properties .
We will not know about the ISP router settings until you give us that information awgeez.

One Dell site with some good information is Pudgyone's sticky on Networking, Internet, and Wireless.

The other is Troubleshooting: DW WLAN Card User Guide.
What caught my eye was, scroll down to:
Occasionally, I am disconnected from my wireless network, and right below it,
My wireless connection is slower than expected.

Run through the advanced card properties, and the above troubleshooting steps to see if anything is amiss.

Realtek PCIe GB Family Adapter, is that what you are asking? there are 2 wireless adapters listted in the device manager, but they are disabled as i do not use wireless.

"Occasionally, I am disconnected from my wireless network, and right below it,
My wireless connection is slower than expected"

i dont beleive i ever said wireless, only internet connection.

my ISP is Frontier (formerly Verizon for you west coasters). the modem is a Westell A90

That seems strange, on the specs. page for your machine it lists an Integrated Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) 802.11b/g mini-Card & antenna.

To make sure what you have:
  • Go back to Device Manager.
  • Move the cursor down to the arrow to the left of Network Adapters, and left click on the arrow.
  • When that opens I need you to upload a screenshot, Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums
  • That will verify exactly what is in your machine.

You are correct. You never did say what you had. That is a problem that arises when the Original Poster (You) fails to supply sufficient information, and the responder (ME) fails to ask for more, although I did ask in the beginning of post #25:

We will leave this alone for the moment, and concentrate on the Adapter.
If it is a Realtek PCIe GB Family Adapter there is a possible adjustment.

Edit:
I also need to know if you removed McAfee.

Macafee is gone, completely. used the utility from macafee. you will see 3 network adapters, but both of the wireless are disabled. my modem is conncted to my pc with a 10/100 cable. i do not like wireless, it is unreliable at best.

in the 2nd screenshot you will notice "ipv6 connectivity 'no network access'." while i have no clue what that means, it sounds bad? and btw,,,,,,,,,,, silly thing is working right now and has been for the past 40 minutes.

once/if we figure out what bug/error is making the local area connection quit, then we can try to figure out why after the windows troubleshooter resets it, the speed is reduced by 80%

IPV6 No Internet Access - HELP!!! - Microsoft Answers

Try this or uninstall, redownload the drivers (make sure to download them before uninstalling), shutdown PC and router for 10 minutes, turn back on and try again.

Hope this helps,

Reset?
I have a lot of problems with my Windows 7, and I am not going to reinstall it because of all several un-important reasons. Is there a way to Master reset the whole Windows 7 installation without loss of disk space? So a master reset or something, or a repair?
