Wireless connects slow after sleep mode HPdm4

Hello,

I have an HP dm4 with 64 Bit and ever since I got it, it's taken a while to reconnect to the internet from sleep or hibernate mode. Windows 7 recognizes this too and says "Windows is taking longer than usual to respond." It will connect but it takes at least 30sec to 2 minutes sometimes. I've already tried the following:

-reinstalling/updating the wireless device driver,
-adjusted power saving options under adapter settings

I read something somewhere about a "duplex speed" but it didn't go into much detail...

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
