broadcom 802.11n network adaptet SLOWW NEW laptop please help.

Last week I bought an acer aspire 722 netbook
specs:
AMD dual-core processor c-50
1.0 GHz
2GB DDR3 memory
250GB HDD
AMD radeon HD 6250

I also have this 5 year old laptop which is very poor. I have my wireless router downstairs. Just recently i decided to test my bandwidth speed by going on speedtest.net.

I get atleast 10mb/s download speed on my old laptop (which is fairly reasonable for me) but performing the same test on my new laptop, i get 0.21 mb/s download which is very frustrating because its a new laptop. However, i tried connecting my new laptop via lan and it does 10mb/s download. So, the only problem here is my wireless adapter on my new laptop..

Network adaptors on my new laptop (all updated to recent date):

Atheros AR8152 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller
Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter
Microsoft Virtual WiFi miniport adapter

Please help me fix this because getting a really low download speed on a new laptop compared to a laptop that's 5 year old is very...very frustrating.
