    Can't setup Homegroup

When i was using Beta and RC, i just follow the on screen instructions and easily set up a home network.

I just upgraded to RTM, and now homegroup won't let me create.

When i click create home group, and check some boxes, i get an error saying

"windows cannot set up homegroup on this computer"

    WHY?!?

    any help appreciated.

I had the same problem when i upgraded to RTM, i solved my issue by making sure that the times on both machines are exactly synchronized.
Even 1/2 second out it still wouldn't let me.
Give that a go and let us know

hi, thanks for the reply. But i don't have a homegroup yet.

Basically i can't great a home group. so i don't know if the time sync thing is it. since i have nothing to sync with

very werid. when it was RC, as soon as i connected to the network, windows automatically asked to set up homegroup. and it was done in seconds.

Why do you need HomeGroup if you don't have a second PC?

Slow down, speed demon. The Server service is a requirement.
