I just built a computer for the first time. And everything is going fine. Except for the ethernet. When i try to connect the modem to the new computer, it says it cannot detect an ethernet adapter. Any ideas would be helpful.
Is the driver loaded? Check the adapter in Hardware Manager. Any yellow notices showing? Do you have any lights on at the ethernet connector at the back of the PC? (with the cable plugged in.)
