Switch off Autoconnect on Wireless network

I'm not sure whether to start a separate thread or not.... so I won't.

My internet connection IS wireless. Each time I connected to the net via the wireless network connection module, I would have to turn off "connect automatically" or no doubt it would connected automatically next time. I must have forgotten to do so once, and now it connects automatically when the computer boots. How can I disable that automatic feature? Thank you.

    (NB: New computer, ThinkPad.)

Most laptops have a wireless on / off switch (either a physical switch or a Key combination), this is the best, (last Resort), way to control connections. to switch off the wireless auto connect right click on the network ID and deselect the connect automatically checkbox

I was going to say that the 'automatic' box disappeared, which is why I have this problem, but I found it again by right-clicking PROPERTIES of the particular connection. Thanks. :)
