How to configure router for Remote Desktop access for multiple PCs

I know how to configure the router for Remote Desktop access but for only one PC in my home network. I once configured the router for two PCs to be Remote Desktop accessible, but forgot how I did. The exact details may depdend on the router model. My router is D-Link DIR655. If I remember correct I used the Virtual Server instead of the Port Forwarding. It involved using public port(3389) and user specified private port numbers.
Could anyone help?
