I have two computers conntected wirelessly, but in the Homegroup settings, the password for each is different. Shouldn't they both have the same password? I am able to see one from the other and copy files back and forth. This may have been asked before, but couldn't find it.

Yes. Your one of the lucky folk that got 'Homegroup' to function, this is what I had to do:- File Sharing Settings.pdf

Hi Robert, Just tried an experiment. On my Desktop pc, I went to C: > Users > my name and made a new folder, called it 'File Transfer', changed it's properties by unticking 'Read Only'. I then put a notepad .txt file in it and was able to access it from my Laptop. Only snag is, Desktop must be 'On' to get to it.
