Ok for starters have you re-installed the vista Ethernet driver?

You will need to have your routers ip in for you to connect.

Again we need both your system specs and your network setup

So the ipconfig came after I reset it to the factory default which is why it's in Vista not 7, I have not reinstalled the vista ethernet drivers, but I did reinstall/update them before I restored it, when it was still windows 7. I left the Physical address' blank as per suggestion, however I do not know why the default gateway is blank, and after checking it does appear blank when I call ipconfig /all again.

What do you want for network specs?
As for system, it used to run Windows 7 but is now down to Vista, it has a 6 gigs of ram, a AMD 7750 Dual Core, a Marvell Yukon 88E8071 Ethernet Controller. Not sure what you're specifically looking for, but I bought it from Gateway in December of 09.
