I'm testing out Windows 7 Professional on the network we use at a school district. All the other machines have Windows XP and work fine, but 7 isn't working right now.
When the XP machines join the domain, they have the wireless information sent to them and they automatically connect to the wireless network. On the Windows 7 laptop we're using (Lenovo R500), it's on the domain and can get internet if it's plugged in via ethernet, but it does not see and can't connect to the network wirelessly. If I try to manually connect to it (Using WPA-Enterprise encryption with TKIP) it still won't connect to the network.
I tried running group policy update on them, but there's still no luck. The driver
is working becuase we can see wireless networks from homes neighboring the school, and our access point is working because the XP machine right next to them picks up the signal just fine.
Does anyone have any ideas? Your help is greatly appreciated!
