Need to know what steps to check for setting up multiple rdp ports

I am trying to configure my network to allow remote desktop access through a router (from outside the router). What steps should I be taking? So far, one computer works, the other doesn't. Windows 7 Pro on both.

Since you've got one RDP connection working, I assume you know how to forward ports through your router and how to connect to your LAN remotely.

Leave the existing, working, RDP connection to computer A alone.

For computer B, set it to listen on a non-standard RDP port (for example, 3388) and forward that port through your router to computer B.

How to change the listening port for Remote Desktop

To connect to computer B remotely, connect to the same address as you would use for computer A, but tell the remote desktop client to use the RDP port you have chosen for computer B.

How to configure the Remote Desktop client to connect to a specific port when you use Windows XP

You could also set up a VPN that would allow you to connect to your entire LAN remotely, and therefore RDP into any LAN computer by name, but this is more involved.
