Wireless Network Problems
So here's the scoop.
Last night everything worked fine, my desktop was hooked up to my tv and sitting next to it on the floor (has a rosewill Rosewill RNX-N180PCe adapter) Anyways, didn't have any problems with connection or speed, everything seemed fine.
Today i get my monitor in, so i hook it up to my desktop and both it and my desktop are on top of my desk. The card is in the back, with room to breath, a wall from the side and the wall at the back are close to it though.
SIGNAL IS AWFUL. I would get 1.5Mbps download when it was on the floor yesterday, today i am lucky to get .3Mbps download... Don't really understand why the connection is so piss poor, it is maybe like 6 more feet from my router at most.
The router is in my roommates room about 20 feet away. It is an Airport Extreme and is my router, it has always worked fine until this.
I have done everything imaginable, restarted the computer, tried new DNS servers, flushed DNS, turned the computer around so the card is not facing the wall and still my connection is horrible. (I have also reset the router/modem)
However, my roommate uses his laptop 5 feet from the router wirelessly and it works perfectly for him.
Any suggestions on what i should do?
