    Cant connect wireless card

Hello! I have problems with wireless on laptop. I cant turn it on, I cant see that in Network connections and HP connection manager as well. It seems like its deleted. On DISABLE/ENABLE key on keyboard its only red light (blue light when it is on). Also, if i click on the small icon with connections in windows bar, so there is only Local area connection. I tried to update drivers, but it says that it is up to date.

    Thanks for all suggestions!

Hello there. Drivers have stopped to work now, or they are not working and before ?

Be sure that you have installed correct drivers. Also will be good to let us know what's the model of that laptop, so we can easy suggest to download correct drivers.

Check in Device Manager, maybe that device is stopped from there. In Network Adapters check if there are two adapters listed there. One for Local Area Network and other one for Wireless Network Card.

All worked fine to last night. I installed Hotspot shield program (dont ask me for what). Then I restarted laptop. For a moment was it fine, but after next restart, in network connections were Local area connection and wireless too, but i could not connect to it. But today, in network connections is "No connections available". When i connect the cable so there is only Local area connection of course. I didnt reinstalled drivers yet.

Model of my laptop is HP Pavilion g6. In device manager in Network adapters is only Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller. I think it is for Local area connection.

    Sorry for my english :-/

I have Realtek RTL8188CE WiFi adapter. I reinstalled drivers. Now, wireless card shows up in Device manager and networks too. But, if i try to turn it on, it say that it is Disconnected.

If someone know what it could be, I will be thankful.

Hello there, sorry that I late. Hotspot Shield is VPN (Virtual Private Network) and if you don't need it, you can uninstall it.
Can you try to connect to that network using mobile/tablet ? Just to make sure that the network is working good.

Hello. Thanks for answer. I know that Hotspot shield is VPN, but i didnt expected that it will do something with wireless. I uninstalled it but wifi still didnt want to run. Today I tried to reinstall drivers, and it works now. First time i installed it with Setup.exe but second I installed it with the Install file that uses Command prompt. So it works

Yeah it works now. I thought that it is something more then just drivers. I used Hotspot on ship where they had Fortiguard webfilter I dont know why it just deleted wireless from device manager while drivers were still installed.

    Again, thanks.
