Windows 7: Wi-fi takes long time to connect

Normal restart helps over here. Anyway it looks that my laptop connects quicker to the internet when I do so.

I think Acer en Packard Bell are using kind of the same hardware inside. I noticed that while searching for some drivers and saw that some Acer drivers also popped up for my Packard Bell.

I personally begin to think that it has something to do with the wifi adapter in my laptop.
It's a Realtek RTL8192CE. I even had to put the adapter into b/g mode instead of b/g/n due to very unstable connections to my Belkin N+ router allthough I'm only like 6 feet away from the thing.

My Asus eeePC has a Atheros, my older Lenovo a Broadcom and there both on N modus.
Guess what, no connection or signal stability issues with those two, never been !

This beats posting all the steps. Check your power options in advanced power plan. Then in the advanced properties of the device check that allow computer to turn off this device to save power is unchecked.
