Airlink ALWH4030 driver

If you have this old cheap and hardy adapter, and wish to save some loose change just follow what I have done and perhaps you will be spared from buying a new adapter. I use built-in Windows 7 device driver from Atheros Communications, Inc. and selected 11a/b/g/n Wireless LAN Adapter. After install, the system automatically detect and enabled the adapter, but with limited capability and will not get DHCP address configuration. Had to manually configure the IP address, mask, gateway, and DNS after which the system worked fine. Your experience will depend on your luck and system configuration and if you feel happy DHCP might work in your case. Happy computing and hope this post helps.

netuser; Welcome to Windows Seven Forums. Thanks for posting the tip, I am going to try that on an old laptop that I have not been able to get a reliable Internet connection. Please feel free to post other good tips as well. They are welcome here.

Nice computer, by the way, and thanks for including your specs. What do you think of that terabyte hard drive? Have plans to fill it up any time soon?

Airlink AWLH4130 driver for x64?
So I've got the AWLH4130, a pci wireless adapter, which I bought second hand for $5. Didn't come with any cds or anything. Works fine with the drivers on the website on XP. It "automatically" installs drivers in Windows 7, and installs the "Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P)" driver. It doesn't find any...
