Sorry, extremely busy all day, but I made it.
Yes, make sure that you have identical User Name and Passwords from the computer where the Canon is shared from and the problematic computer.
More tests that we can try if you have not done this yet, from the computer that has the Canon printer hooked up to... share the Local disk C, give everyone a Full permission for now. Next task, try access this computer again by clicking on the Start Orb and type \\IPAddress\C and also \\ComputerName\C, if successful and no more error, just try to type in the \\IPAddress or \\ComputerName, by doing this you should be able to see the shared printer, double click on it, please inform us the outcome.
Another thing...if you router has a USB Port you may connect your Cannon printer and it becomes a print server then you will connect to the printer thru your router's IP address. My DLink DIR 655 router has this feature and it comes handy, also external HDD can be shared off from the network.
