Cannot connect a XP PC by ComputerName but IP..

My home network consists of one desktop (XP Home), one acer netbook (Windows 7 Starter) and a HP notebook (Windows 7 Home Premium).

all computers with same workgroup name.

recently, the HP notebook can no longer acess the XP by Name after I mess around with homegroup. when i type \\XPComputer it gives me an error saying that cannot access \\XPComputer. However, I can still access the XP Desktop from HP Notebook by IP, that is, \\192.168.1.4

the other acer notebook is fine, can connect the XP desktop by either Name or IP.

please help.

PS. the Acer netbook can see both others while the HP notebook can only see Acer netbook.

Hello,

Are using any Security software with Firewall?

If you are using built-in Firewall, is File and Printer Sharing excluded?
From XP computer Click on Start and type firewall.cpl press enter. See image attached.
