| | Make a wireless network completely hidden Hi, Im living in a dorm right now, and the campus wi-fi is disgustingly slow, so a group of us got a linksys router for the dorm. I set it up so it would not broadcast the SSID, but other computers not connected to the network still see a "other network" icon when choosing a wireless network. is there any way to remove that completely so there is no trace of the wireless network? thanks |

| | Suppressing SSID broadcasts is the most you can do to hide a WiFi network. If that's not good enough, then you need to switch to wired or powerline networking. |
