Netflix goes out of Sync on Instant Watch

I have had Netflix and this computer for over a year and until this month have NEVER had a problem with playback.

I did recently change providers from AT&T to Time Warner, however the three other computers in my home do not have play back problems. I read the other threads about faulty playback, but none seemed to match my problem. If there is one that I missed please direct me there.

In any event here is my issue:

Last year I accessed the internt by using my neighbors wifi and never had a problem with play back. When I finally got 2 jobs I got AT&T and had no problem with playback. Now i have HUGE PROBLEMS but only on MY computer, not the others or my ipone or my ipod (using the same wireless connection).

What happens is for about 45 seconds the play is smooth then the video slows down and the audio keeps playing. If I close my eyes all is fine and no skips can be detected. I did notice that my CPU usage was over 70 percent when this happened, however there was not a single other program running (except the task manager of course) I took screen shots when the play is good and when it is bad. I am desperate here. I live for my netflix!!! It is the only thing keeping me sane while work two jobs and live with three rooomates (BTW no one else is using the wifi when I am, so it is not overloaded at all).

The most frustrating part is how smooth it runs on my iphone using the same wifi signal!

:I'm so happy..I was having same problem with netflix being out of sync on my cheap 10" HP lap top. when i was with ATT (DSL )i did't have the problem but it was buffering often so i switched to higher speed Cox Communication..I was on their middle speed plan and didn't have the outta sync problem but then I had all sorts of other issues. I switched to their 2nd higher speed hoping to fix all my problems..it didn't and they needed to come replace lines witch fixed all issues EXCEPT my recently aquired out of sync Netflix problem on my lil computer. I still had their higher speed service and that's when I noticed all the outta sync on netflix..but only on my little laptop that I lay in bed watching..MOST frustrating. I was resigned to the problem and figured it was just cause my little computer was too slow or whatever but I KNEW I was watching netflix on it before i switched to cox and the higher speed. So...I just called Cox, LOWERED my speed to their medium speed to save money on my bill and also to see if it fixed my outta sync problem...and it DID!!! I'm so happy!! Not only is my bill lowed (they gave me a big discount as well for 6 mo for all my problems) but now I can lay in bed and watch netflix on my lil computer and the speed on all our other devices is perfectly fine..yeah it's the little things in life:) I joined this forum just to share my fix to this problem since I didn't see any real fixes from others just the same frustration I felt being able to watch Netflix anymore.
