I have had Netflix and this computer for over a year and until this month have NEVER had a problem with playback.
I did recently change providers from AT&T to Time Warner, however the three other computers in my home do not have play back problems. I read the other threads about faulty playback, but none seemed to match my problem. If there is one that I missed please direct me there.
In any event here is my issue:
Last year I accessed the internt by using my neighbors wifi and never had a problem with play back. When I finally got 2 jobs I got AT&T and had no problem with playback. Now i have HUGE PROBLEMS but only on MY computer, not the others or my ipone or my ipod (using the same wireless connection).
What happens is for about 45 seconds the play is smooth then the video slows down and the audio keeps playing. If I close my eyes all is fine and no skips can be detected. I did notice that my CPU usage was over 70 percent when this happened, however there was not a single other program running (except the task manager of course) I took screen shots when the play is good and when it is bad. I am desperate here. I live for my netflix!!! It is the only thing keeping me sane while work two jobs and live with three rooomates (BTW no one else is using the wifi when I am, so it is not overloaded at all).
The most frustrating part is how smooth it runs on my iphone using the same wifi signal!
