Lost mapped drive in Windows 7 starter

When setting up classroom Acer NetBooks, I had students map to their network drives and install network printers. Over time, some students lost their mapped drives and when I try to remap, I get an error as not valid. I think the problem is the system is renaming my network with the NetBook name as the domain (if that makes sense) so when it tries to map, there is no network with that name. I have tried manually reconnecting to the network. In my Network interface it show a connection to the correct domain and I can get internet access, I just can't access to network resources. Any ideas?
