Connect via cable to IP Camera from W7. problems

    Hi all.
I want to setup my IP Camera, and of course I need to do it via ethernet cable. So, when I put the IP e.g. "192.168.1.102", my Laptop doesn't even load or kept loading.
This case happens when I'm using Win 7 Home Basic, but with a Win XP laptop works great.
    What I need to fix?
    Thanks.

what router, do you have and what service are you running? Dynamic IP's, Static IP's? Also i am sure you have hard coded the ip to the win 7 machine, if so, are you sure no other pc on that lan shares that IP

It isn't a router, it's a IP camera. And both devices aren't connected to Internet or any wireless router... My laptop is without internet and my IP camera is like any other device that you HAVE to configure it by ethernet cable.

Thanks for the fast reply and sorry if my english is weak, I'm not an anglo speaker :P
