Windows 7: Error Message: Network Printer Busy

Error Message: Network Printer Busy

I have been experiencing some problems printing-- every time I try to print, an error window pops up that says "Network Printer Busy". I first got this message about two weeks ago; prior to that, everything was working more or less as expected. When I unplug the printer, and then plug it back in, I am able to print, but need to go through the process every single time I print.

OS: MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Printer: Lexmark S405

I've contacted Lexmark technical support about this issue several times, and they came up with several "fixes": uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, disabled my anti-virus software, manually turned off and on a driver. They ultimately said that the problem was on the Windows side. I've run the printer troubleshooter, Microsoft FixIt, and Windows Network Diagnostics, and keep getting a message that says the problem is fixed and/or no problems were detected.

Please advise. Thanks in advance!
