Windows 7 - Network icon is always disconnected/network available

So, I downloaded and installed BlueSoleil, and it was great, that is until I found out that is messed with my network icon and made it always disconnected/new network available. I thought that removing BlueSoleil would fix it, but it did not

I have been through all the other things in this thread: Solution: Wrong wireless network icon displayed

None of these solutions work...So I still need help!

Anybody have any idea?

The easiest fix for this would be to do a System Restore to before you installed BlueSoleil.

You might also want to post in one of the BlueSoleil forums.

Well seeing how this problem has been here for the past two months, a system restore is not an option...I'll check out the BS forums.

Why is a System Restore not an option? It doesn't affect your personal data, only system files, registry and anything you've installed during that time.

Can you do this please: Click on Start then Run or press Window key (next to left Ctrl key) +R and paste the following into the Run box, exactly as shown, including double quotes:

cmd /c "ipconfig /all > postme.txt & ping yahoo.com >> postme.txt & notepad postme.txt & del postme.txt"

and press ENTER.

A file will open in Notepad. Please copy and paste the contents here. Close the Notepad window and the file will be deleted and the Command Prompt window will also close.

You show two wireless connections, but only the 2nd one has a good IP address:
48.200.184.67(Preferred). The first one shows Media state: Disconnected.

This does not like it was taken when the wireless was not working as the ping worked fine:

Do you have a router? The 48.200.184.92 IP address is unrecognized by nslookup?

If it's failing now, please do this from a Run box and post the output here:

cmd /c "netsh wlan show all > postme.txt & notepad postme.txt & del postme.txt"

I'm not sure how much data that will yield so if it's a lot, then upload the postme.txt file and add it as an attachemnt.

Nslookup returns Non-existent domain with command "nslookup 48.200.184.92". Not sure if that matters.

Just a thought....are we sure the registry is completely deleted of all BlueSoleil strings. Sometimes we have to manually go in and delete the leftovers.
