Hello,
I am having difficulty setting up a VPN between my home and my father's.
Both computers are running Windows 7 Home Premium.
I have set his as the server, and when I use mine, I am able to access his computer (In Network and Sharing - I see I am connected), but am unable to access the network shares. I enter the private IP designated for the VPN Connection, but still am unable to see the computer.
When I use my android phone to connect to his computer via VPN, I connect easily and can access the files through the ES File Explorer app on the phone, so I do believe the VPN is working, and the settings are correct.
I can ping his computer (with the private LAN designated by his gateway), but can't access the shares.
All radio buttons for advanced settings in Network and Sharing are on (ie: network discovery, file sharing etc.), and I have altered thes (such as turning on/off password protected sharing)
TCP/Ipv6 is turned off.
I am just wondering why I am unable to see the shares on my computer, or if I am doing something wrong in accessing them on my windows machine.
Please help - I'd love to be able to see my files!
Thanks
