IP conflict

My laptop won't work with the Ethernet cable and say it has an IP conflict. All my computers have an IP address starting with 192 and the laptop has an IP address starting with 169. I did an ipconfig and on ipv4 is where I got the IP addresses. I tried to do an ipconfig/release but it won't release the IP address because of the wireless media.

Hi lostsoul62,

Your are getting the 169.X.X.X IP address bec you are not getting the proper DHCP address coming from your router.

Have you tried to Power Cycle your devices?

Please give us an update and inform us the outcome after the Power Cycle.
