I also noticed you are using these for DNS servers:

    24.196.64.53 - vip01ftbgwi.ftbg.wi.charter.com
    68.113.206.10 - 68-113-206-1.static.ftwo.tx.charter.com
    24.178.162.3 - vip01spbgsc.spbg.sc.charter.com

Did you set them up that way? What if you change the DNS server, 192.168.0.1, to point to your router as it normally would? Does that make any difference?

Sorry, that's my mistake. The 3 services are listed as:
Base Filtering Engine - should be started & automatic
    Windows Firewall - should be
    started & automatic
Internet Connection Sharing - should be listed, doesn't need to be started.

BMJ, are you sure your computer is viruses free or has someone on the forum helped you remove them? I can probably get Windows Firewall up and running again, but it makes no sense to go thru it if you're still infected.

There is definitely something wrong with your system. Base Filtering Engine and Windows Firewall should definitely be there.

Quite possible you have some kind of malware infection.

I suggest posting on one of the sites that have some good malware removal folks, like:

    whatthetech.com
    geekstogo.com
    spybot.info

You could try running Malware Bytes Anti Malware (free version) and see if it finds anything. Also do a scan with your installed anti-virus software. Id no help then go with one of the above sites. They are all busy so it may take a day or two before they can get to you.

Ive used AVG and it came up with some stuff from torrents that were false positives. but i removed them anyways. and i ran a registry cleaner from cnet and that had 260 some odd errors that i cleared up. so as far as what programs i have theyre telling me that im clean.

@ztrucker i started a topic on the geekstogo and im waiting for them to get to mine. started the thread when you had first posted it.

See if they find anything else malicious on your computer and once you're sure you're clean, post back here and we'll work on the firewall stuff. Also, it's a good idea to stay away from registry cleaners, they'll do more harm than good.
