BSOD when launching AP in ALFA AWUS036NHR

    Hello everyone,

I'm not really great in posting thread but ill try to be as much detailed as possible recently I reformatted my PC and didn't have this problem but now there's a conflict with my ALFA AWUS036NHR USB Dongle. It works fine as a wireless card but every time i try to change it into a Access Point i get a BSOD, I'm not really an expert just with a little more than known knowledge of PC's so I'm able to get stuff people or information people would ask for .

Also i happened to read some thread and it said i needed to upload my dumpfile from the crash so here i saved time and uploaded them along with this treat. Thank you for looking here and I hope we can get this solved.

    Two issues

First is Related to RTL8192cu.sys USB NDIS Driver from Realtek Semiconductor Corporation. I would update to the newest driver available.

    Second your Avast

Avast can be a contributing cause of BSOD'S . Please remove and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

Sorry for being late but hey, I just registered

After running into the very same issue (same adapter same problem on different Win7 machines) I found this post.. and I found newer drivers.

The driver Windows installs automatically when adapter is plugged in and the drivers from Alfa are the same!
Realtek released a newer version just a few days ago which fixes the issue on my end!

Of course you can ignore the Realtek client, but the package found here has the new driver.
