I had problems with my homegroup, so I have decided to recreate it from scratch. I have managed to create it, but now no computers can see it.

Screenshot 1 - every other computer
Screenshot 2 - computer that I create homegroup on (sorry, it's not in english but I hope you get the point).

The picture on the right hand side isn't sharing anything other than printers. If you want to share something, you have to select what you want to share, such as pictures, documents, etc.

For the computer(s) relating to the picture on the left (the one(s) in English), use this troubleshooter: Why can't I create a homegroup? - install the fix, and read through it if the fix doesn't work.

Well, I should still be able to join homegroup despite there are only printers shared, right?

Mate,

I don't know, but you could try it! Test sharing pictures or folders, etc to see if it "works". Here are some settings you might find useful for homegroup: Homegroup - Change File and Folder Sharing Settings - tutorial created by Brink

I found this tutorial; you may find it interesting: Homegroup - Add Computer or Join - tutorial created by Brink
Apparently Only Windows Home Premium and higher can create a homegroup, while all others can only join.

I am using Windows 8.1, but I finally think I have a way : it worked to remove the stale HomeGroup when nothing else could. Not a solid procedure, but here goes :

1) stop the three "Peer ..." services
2) stop the two "HomeGroup ..." services
3) stop the "PNRP ..." service
4) delete the contents of %Windir%\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking
5) forget your network, if wireless, and disconnect
6) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HomeGroupProvider\
7) delete the contents of ServiceData and LocalUserMembership
8) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HomeGroupListener\
9) delete the contents of ServiceData

reboot. run homegroup troubleshooter a couple of times.
